Fire brigade rescues unconscious truck driver from driver's cab on A6 – Blaulichtreport-Saarland.de

On Wednesday evening, December 18, 2024, the St. Ingbert volunteer fire department rescued an unconscious truck driver from his cab on the A 6 near St. Ingbert. A truck driver lost consciousness in his cab due to a medical emergency around 7 p.m. The passenger made an emergency call. The articulated tank train was standing on the approach lane of the Kahlenberg rest area in the direction of Saarbrücken.

The fire-fighting districts of Rohrbach, Hassel and St. Ingbert as well as the police and emergency services responded to the scene. While the fire department and police secured the area and closed the correct lane, the emergency services took care of the patient.

After providing initial medical care, the fire department had to rescue the driver because the entrance to the driver's cab was approximately 2 meters higher than the road deceleration.
