In the abuse process, the verdicts are made and the perpetrators are sentenced to high penalties. But while Gisèle Pelicot is being celebrated, one woman feels forgotten.

Maybe it's this picture that came after the three-month rape trial of Avignon What will be particularly remembered is: Gisèle Pelicot leaves the courtroom with a relieved expression and is surrounded by cheering chants, shouts of bravo and signs with “Thank you, Gisele” Many of the supporters present had been waiting since dawn for the woman who made sure the world knew about the rapes of her husband and his at least 50 accomplices.
The streets around the courthouse were already cordoned off in the morning and dozens of police officers shielded the defendants as they entered. They came to the court at dawn with relatives and were greeted with shouts of “We see you, you rapists.” The defendants already had luggage with them in anticipation of being led straight into a cell.
