Indianapolis police were involved in a shooting on the city's west side just after 2 p.m. Thursday.
No officers were injured, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said on its X account.
The shooting occurred in the 300 block of South Warman Avenue.
South Warman Avenue between Addison and Ida streets will be closed as police surround the scene. There is no danger to the population, the police said.
Few other details were immediately available.

IMPD-involved shootings in 2024
Thursday's shooting marked the 16th of the year. There were 18 shootings involving Indianapolis police in 2023.
December 12th: A man was shot during a chase in the 1000 block of Waldemere Avenue. Officers responding to a shots fired call said the man ran away and pulled out a gun and fired shots during the pursuit, a department spokesman said. The man's condition is stable. No officers were injured.
Dec 4th: A man with a machete was fatally shot by police responding to a disturbance involving a gun in an industrial area on Brookville Road in the city's southeast. Two other people suffered non-fatal stab wounds. The man was identified as Christopher L. Worrell, 37.
November 14th: A driver was shot and killed by police after striking an officer with an SUV in a CVS parking lot on North Meridian Street. Officers were called to CVS to check on a person in the vehicle before the shooting. The person who was shot and the officer were in stable condition.
Oct. 27: A man who jumped into a woman's vehicle and held her at gunpoint was in critical but stable condition after being shot by police in Indianapolis. Julius Hill, 25, was shot by veteran officer Joseph Beasley after the woman stopped her car and got out to alert bystanders at the intersection of 11th Street and Kealing Avenue that she was being held hostage. Hill's family told police that he suffered from schizophrenia.
September 11th: Officers were involved in a shooting while responding to a hostage situation north of Indianapolis. No police officers were injured and the man shot by police was reportedly in stable condition and taken to a local hospital.
August 23rd: What started as a narcotics search warrant ultimately ended with 40-year-old Kentrail Small being shot and killed. At approximately 10:30 a.m., SWAT officers attempted to serve a search warrant at the Park Terrace Motel, 9025 Pendleton Pike, in Lawrence. SWAT forcibly entered the room and a struggle ensued as police attempted to handcuff Small. Police said Small escaped and grabbed a Draco firearm, at which point officers fatally shot him.
July 2nd: Police responding to a call about a person shot found Richard Dale Bures, 86, allegedly pointing a gun at them shortly after 11:30 a.m. in the 5100 block of West Vermont Street, just off North Lynhurst Drive. Bures pointed the gun at officers multiple times, and two officers fired their weapons. Investigators found a revolver, but no evidence that another person was shot. They also found a note that said the man wanted to commit suicide, police said. Bures survived the encounter and was prosecuted; his case is still pending.
June 25th: Elijah Hakiem Radford, 45, was suspected of shooting a woman before leading police on a multi-mile chase that culminated in Castleton. Body camera footage shows him entering an apartment and holding a knife next to a screaming woman shortly before he was fatally shot.
June 1st: An officer fired his weapon while investigating gunfire downtown around 3:20 a.m. Neither the suspect nor the officer were injured.
May 28th: Jerrett Dwain Gray Jr., 20, was an armed carjacking suspect when he was fatally shot while trying to flee police at the Cavalier Court apartment complex. Two firearms were found where Gray was taken into custody. One firearm was equipped with a machine gun conversion device commonly referred to as a Glock switch.
May 15th: Kelvin Andrew Chandler, 26, who was accused of shooting his roommate, was fatally shot during a “gunfight” with an officer in the 6500 block of Apollo Way. His roommate survived.
May 2nd: Lemar Brandon Qualls, 35, was shot after officers were called about an armed person pointing a gun at people in the 3900 block of Broadway Street, near 38th Street and North College Avenue. According to police, witnesses said Qualls pointed the gun at officers.
March 31st: Luis Duran-Ruano, 31, was killed after a SWAT confrontation on Winston Avenue that began with a call about a man firing shots into the air near West 33rd Street and Georgetown Road.
March 24th: Dominique Lamonte Durham Sr., 37, was fatally shot March 24 in a shootout with off-duty security guards at a nightclub on East Washington Street.
January 24th: Raphael Dekemper, 41, was shot in an officer-involved shootout on Brookside Parkway North Drive.
DOJ investigation into police shootings in Indianapolis
In mid-April, Mayor Joe Hogsett and Bailey announced that the Justice Department would conduct a comprehensive review of police shootings, following a sharp increase in 2023 when officers were involved in 17 shootings that killed or injured someone . A timeline for publishing the results of this review was not provided.
