Putin will supposedly negotiate – and is offering the US a “missile duel”.

At Vladimir Putin's staged annual press conference, Russia's president appeared willing to talk about Ukraine. At the same time, he offered the USA a “missile duel”.

President Vladimir Putin appeared confident of victory at his traditional annual press conference on Thursday in Moscow. The situation in the war against Ukraine is currently changing “dramatically” in favor of his country, Putin explained in the propaganda show that lasted several hours. Russia Putin was also victorious in Syria.

In front of journalists and television audiences, the Kremlin chief also declared Russia's new Oreshnik medium-range missile to be unbeatable. To show this, he offered the USA a “missile duel”.

Every year, Putin holds a live televised press conference while fielding questions on a variety of topics. This year the event took place against the backdrop of Russian successes in Ukraine and a month before US President-elect Donald Trump takes office.
