Zweibrücken – On Wednesday morning, December 18, 2024, a traffic accident with significant property damage occurred in Zweibrücken, shortly before the entrance to Homburg-Einöd.
At around 8:15 a.m., a 35-year-old driver of a Peugeot disregarded the red traffic light at the junction with Freudenbergerhofstrasse and collided with an Audi A6 that was trying to turn left from Freudenbergstrasse onto Homburger Strasse when the light was green.
Both vehicles were seriously damaged as a result of the violent collision. According to the police, the property damage amounts to around 38,000 euros. While the driver of the Audi and the passenger of the Peugeot suffered minor injuries, both had to be taken to a local hospital for further treatment.
