“'Filth' is my personal favorite,” States Reavis. “It is another chapter in the history of Victim 1. I personally love the happy feeling of this song, especially when I play it live. If you have a AKC Show in the last few months, you were lucky enough to hear it already. I believe our production team at Dusty tree trunks And Evan McKeever really helped me destroy this song. The song takes you on a journey through the eyes of the killer.”

The singer also lifted the curtain on the entire album and said:Victim 1 is possibly my favorite album I've ever been involved with. AKC stepped out of the box and wrote Victim 1I have brought in new producers [Dusty Boles and Evan McKeever] to reshape the sound of the band. I took most of the last year off and didn't tour to write this album.”

He continues: “The concentration I found during this time really helped me develop the new sound and direction I wanted to go in. I personally believe this is the true sound of The confession of a murdererand in my honest opinion this is the first true AKC Album. Every time I listen to the album I sit back and smile because I have never had this feeling before with AKC“The tone and atmosphere are completely different from anything we’ve ever done.”

Victim 1 is AKCis her fourth album and MNRK Music group debut. “A year ago I thought to myself, 'What if we had a character who was fed up with the world?'” recalls Reavisand offers a glimpse into the album's darkest corners. “In his heart, he knows what's going on isn't right, so he does something about it. In every song, he addresses a sin – whether it's in himself or towards a horrible person. The conversations are either in his head or with the victim. You think, 'If I was a guy who had the ability to find these people, how would I react?' He has to do that, but it destroys him because he's really a good person. He has no regrets, though.”

After releasing three groundbreaking albums as a member of Mushroom head, Reavis retired from music, only to return in 2016. He resurfaced at the top of The confession of a murdererwith three cult albums — Unbroken [2017]The indifference of good people [2019]and remember [2021]Over time, the band has garnered tens of millions of streams and collaborated with everyone from Brian “Head” Welch from grain And Love and death To Chad Gray from Mudvayne And HELLO. Also included: bassist JP Crossguitarist James Skritch, and drummer Kegan KingThey also thrilled audiences on tour.

In 2022 Reavis experienced a revelation. “I had never thought of following such a concept,” he said. “However, I decided to concentrate, live up to the name and The confession of a murderer.“ He went into the studio with staff and producers Dusty tree trunks [Make Me Famous] And Evan McKeever [Nine Shrines]. He brought that vision to life, producing 10 tracks that were the equivalent of “falling down a YouTube rabbit hole of unsolved mysteries.”

The confession of a murderer tell a story that you can't take your eyes off of… or that you can't forget – neither in content nor sound.”The confession of a murderer we are all”, Reavis “It's not just the band. It's the people listening, diving in and learning from it. It's each and every one of us deep down. We've all killed something in our lives. I hope you find some comfort in the record.
