Chemnitz – Shock for a young woman (18). Chemnitz! The 18-year-old was attacked and groped by three young men on Wednesday evening. The trio also tried to snatch her handbag. Now the police are looking for witnesses.

The whole thing happened around 8:35 p.m. on Matthesstrasse in the Schloßchemnitz district. Three previously unknown men stood in her way and held her down.
“As a result, someone tried to snatch her handbag,” said a police spokesman. But the handbag robbery didn't work.
“She is also said to have been touched inappropriately by the trio on several occasions,” the police continued.

Fortunately, the young woman was able to break away and run towards Ermafa Passage. She fled across Leipziger Strasse – so quickly that a car apparently had to brake because of her.
“The young woman suffered minor injuries that did not require treatment,” said the police.

This is how the perpetrators were described:
- Estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old
- talked in foreign languages
- One was slightly smaller at around 1.65 meters than the other at around 1.70 meters
- The smaller one wore a white jacket and yellow shoes, had straight hair and a black hood
- One of the slightly larger men was dressed in black, with black pants and a black jacket, his hair was black, short and noticeably curled
The police are now looking for witnesses who observed the attack or who can provide information about the perpetrators. In particular, the driver mentioned and traveling out of town as well as passengers on a bus who were standing at a stop there are asked to report to the police.
