Tango Gameworks wants to create more unique games even after the takeover by KRAFTON.
After Hi-Fi Rush and Ghostwire: Tokyo developer Tango Gameworks closed in May of this year, it was announced in August that the development studio had been taken over by South Korean publisher KRAFTON.
Studio Head Colin Mack, Creative Director John Johanas and Development Director Kazuaki Egashira now assure us in an interview with 4Gamer that fans can expect further unique games from Tango Gameworks in the future and that KRAFTON is exactly the right partner for this:
“The goal of Tango Gameworks is still to create IP,” said Egashira. “The skills and thinking required to create something from nothing cannot be acquired overnight, but we have the members with the know-how to do it and we want to expand.” Here comes Krafton into play.”
“We want to be a studio where people feel like the work is their baby and not just a task to be done,” explains Johanas.
“We want to make unique and interesting games for everyone who has supported Tango Gameworks so far, and we look forward to these games too,” says Mack. Johannas added: “A lot has happened this year, but Tango Gameworks itself hasn't changed. We are assured that the acquisition will have no impact on our future games.”
