The crime series “Mayor of Kingstown” with Jeremy Renner in charge is entering its fourth round. Despite the main actor's serious accident, Paramount+ has renewed the series. Renner had already hinted at the sequel on Instagram.

Paramount+ has decided to once again express its confidence in the mayor of Kingstown and order a fourth season TVLine reports. The season finale will take place in August 2024. Paramount doesn't provide any viewing figures, so one can only assume that these are satisfactory enough for another renewal.

“Mayor of Kingstown” comes from “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan
Starring Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) in the series, the series is written by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone, Landman) and Hugh Dillon. Renner plays an ex-convict named Mike McLusky, whose family acts as an intermediary between the gangs, prisoners, guards and cops in the fictional town of Kingstown, Michigan.
This happened in season 3 of “Mayor of Kingstown”
In the third season, Mike had to deal with a drug war that was fought inside and outside of prison. This was complicated when someone from his past worked against him. The cast also includes Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Emma Laird, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley, Nishi Munshi and Michael Beach.
Renner had already announced an imminent extension of the crime series via Instagram story at the beginning of November. “Smile please… It's Friday… and we're preparing for the fourth season (of 'Mayor of Kingstown').”
