HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV/Gray News) – The FBI is now offering a reward for information that could lead to the tracking down of Sebastian Rogers.
Federal investigators are offering a $50,000 reward for information in the case of the missing 15-year-old, the Sumner County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
Sebastian, who is autistic, was last seen six months ago, on February 26.
According to the FBI, he disappeared from his mother's home in Hendersonville wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants and black square-framed glasses.
The FBI's Memphis field office is offering a $50,000 reward.
The reward money is offered to anyone who can contribute to Sebastian's safe return or to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for his disappearance.
“It's huge to hear, it's great. Everyone is struggling right now and the economy is so bad,” said Courtney Kinney. “I think if someone knows something, $50,000 is a lot to get someone to speak up.”
Kinney drove from Ohio to Middle Tennessee to attend a vigil for Sebastian over the weekend and a rally outside the Sumner County Sheriff's Office on Monday.
“When you know he’s out there, nobody knows, and there’s absolutely nothing that leads us anywhere, then I think it’s very important [his name] “Out there,” Kinney said. “You can't just disappear, a child doesn't disappear, there's something there, there's someone there, so we're going to find them.”
Anyone with information on Sebastian's whereabouts is asked to contact the Sumner County Sheriff's Office at (615) 451-3838, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1-800-TBI-FIND or [email protected], your local FBI office, the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate, or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
