Harry Kane back in team training before the top game against RB Leipzig
Harry Kane, FC Bayern's top scorer, has returned to team training. The 31-year-old completed parts of the team training together with full-back Alphonso Davies. Kane suffered a small muscle fiber tear in his right back thigh in the game against Borussia Dortmund. Davies suffered a similar injury to his left hamstring in the game against Heidenheim.
The last game of the year for Munich, against RB Leipzig, will take place next Friday at 8:30 p.m. on DAZN. In the game against FSV Mainz 05, which was lost 2-1, the team's English national team captain was sorely missing.
Kompany is not taking any risks with Coman and Gnabry
Coach Vincent Kompany hopes that Kane and Davies will be fit again for at least part of the game against Leipzig. However, he will have to do without Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry until next year. Like Davies, Coman suffered a torn muscle fiber in his left back thigh in the game against Heidenheim at the beginning of December. Gnabry was unable to play recently due to knee problems. Both wingers have now started running training again after their injuries.
Kompany will not take any risks with the returnees. He doesn't expect a full squad until the new year, on January 11th in the away game against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Kane, as a classic center forward, is actually irreplaceable in the Munich squad.
