Decisive run at the end of the third quarter

In the first round it was a very even affair between the two rivals, the lead changed back and forth and so the MBC went into the break with a narrow deficit. In an erratic and rough third quarter, the Central Germans initially didn't allow themselves to be disturbed and were ahead 56:50 in the 27th minute. But the home team turned the tide with a 14-0 run to make it 64:50 (30th). The Weißenfels team then didn't get any closer than two points.

Shooting guard Spencer Reaves, the MBC's top scorer this year with 14.6 points per game, was unable to put his stamp on the game this time. In the end, he only had six points in his box score from five shooting attempts, supplemented by two rebounds and at least six assists.
