What you should know
The Saint Louis Billikens take a road trip to take on the Grand Canyon Antelopes at Global Credit Union Arena on Sunday at 4 p.m. ET. The Billikens strut onto the scene with some offensive power as they have averaged 77.7 points per game this season.
Saint Louis will face Grand Canyon after suffering its first home loss of the season on Wednesday. Saint Louis narrowly trailed Wofford with a score of 74-71. The Billikens failed to live up to their potential and fell short of the edge the oddsmakers expected them to have early in the game.
However, the defeat does not tell the whole story as several players had good games. One of the most active players was Robbie Avila, who scored 16 points as well as eight assists and six rebounds. The team also received support from Isaiah Swope, who scored 19 points.
Meanwhile, there's no better home for Grand Canyon, which bounced back from a tough road loss on Monday. On Thursday they defeated Chicago State 74-51. The game was already decided at halftime when the score had already reached 40:20.
Saint Louis' loss ended a six-game winning streak at home and dropped them to 6-5. Grand Canyon increased its record to 7-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight home win.
Since the two teams are among the highest-scoring teams in the league, a powerful offense is likely on the agenda. Saint Louis has had no trouble improving the score this season, averaging 77.7 points per game. However, it's not like Grand Canyon is struggling in this regard, as the average is 78.4. Since both teams manage to score points so easily, the only question that remains is who can increase the score.
