Here's how to watch
What you should know
The Murray State Racers' road trip continues when they face the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Sunday at 9:00 p.m. ET at SimpliFI Arena in the Stan Sheriff Center. After a loss in a game the Racers were expected to win, they now face the more difficult task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
Murray State's season wasn't pretty last year, but it looks like problems are on the horizon. They suffered an 84-74 loss to Indiana State on Wednesday. The Racers have had trouble against the Sycamores of late, as the game was their fourth straight loss.
Even though the team lost, they still showed impressive performances. One of the best came from Kylen Milton, who was 7-for-12 en route to 18 points plus four steals. Another player who made a difference was AJ Ferguson, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, after a disappointing 52 points in their last game last Friday against Indiana, Nebraska made sure to get some points up their sleeve. Nebraska strolled past Indiana by a point and won the game 85-68.
One of the leaders was Brice Williams, who was 10-for-15 en route to 30 points along with six rebounds and five assists. He had some trouble getting his footing against Michigan State two weeks ago, so this was a nice turnaround. The team also received support from Andrew Morgan, who scored ten points and five rebounds.
Murray State's loss dropped its record to 6-4. It was Nebraska's 18th straight home win since last season, improving its record to 7-2.
Rebounding will likely be a big factor in this contest: Murray State is averaging 36.3 rebounds per game this season. However, it's not like Nebraska is struggling in this regard, as the average is 36.9. With both teams struggling to contain misses, we'll see if one team can gain an edge.
