Jump Festa '25: Dragon Ball Super, Jujutsu Kaisen & more – 7 anime highlights

In the course of this story arc, our protagonist Denji meets a young woman named Reze, who is hiding a dark secret.

The first trailer for the Chainsaw Man movie confirmed its Japanese release later next year. It is currently unknown when exactly the next chapter of the anime hit will premiere. The trailer, which was shown as part of the Jump Festa '25 event, promises once again brutally staged and bloody action. Like the anime series, the feature film is also being made at Studio MAPPA (“Jujutsu Kaisen”).

Jump Festa'25 highlight no. 2: Teaser gives first look at season 2 of DAN DA DAN

The crazy supernatural action-comedy mix “DAN DA DAN” has played its way into the hearts of numerous series fans this year and is even THE anime hit of the year for many viewers. Those responsible have now officially announced a second season, which will start in 2025. A first teaser video provided a first glimpse of the next adventures of Ken/Okarun, Momo and their friends.

Of course, the crazy escapades of our unlikely main character duo continue in season 2. Once again they will have to face aliens, ghosts and other dangers together. Season 2 is being created again by the anime studio Science Saru.

Jump Festa '25 Highlight #3: Dragon Ball Super Manga Returns

At the beginning of March we received the news of Death of Akira Toriyama. The premiere of the second season of the anime series from MAPPA (“Attack on Titan: Final Season”) is scheduled for January 2026. The superhero manga “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes” is getting an anime adaptation that starts in April 2025! Our “Vigilantes” protagonist is Koichi, a huge All Might fan who wants to use his superpowers to help people – even if he's on the edge of legality.

But that's not all, as there was also new information about the final 8th season of “My Hero Academia” during the Jump Festa '25 event. This will start on Japanese TV in autumn 2025 and show us the last big showdown between heroes and villains. “Vigilantes” is created in the studio BONES FILM, a subsidiary studio of Studio BONES (“Mob Psycho 100”), which produces the “My Hero Academia” anime series.

Jump Festa'25 highlight no. 7: New trailer for the action comedy Sakamoto Days released

“Sakamoto Days” is one of the most anticipated anime series of 2025 and for good reason, as the manga template already impresses with a great mix of cracking action and a good portion of comedy. A new trailer for the action comedy, which revolves around the eponymous protagonist Taro Sakamoto, now provides some fresh insights. He was once a feared killer, but when he fell in love, everything changed.

The anime series is created by the studio TMS Entertainment (“Detective Conan”) and directed by Masaki Watanabe (“Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai”). “Sakamoto Days” starts on January 11, 2025 and can be watched exclusively on Netflix in the simulcast in this country.
