17-year-old wanted for fatal shooting at Columbia Mall, $10,000 reward offered

COLUMBIA, Maryland – Howard County police have identified the suspected gunman wanted in connection with a fatal shooting at the Mall in Columbia.

The shooter is said to be 17-year-old William Marshall III.

According to police, he murdered 17-year-old Angelo Little in the mall's food court on July 27.

Marshall reportedly knew Little and specifically targeted him, but the reason for this is unclear.

Marshall, also called Junior, reportedly attends Oakland Mills High School but has not shown up for classes this year, suggesting he may have left town.

“Police conducted an extensive and thorough search for Marshall. They reviewed vast amounts of digital evidence, conducted hundreds of hours of surveillance and enlisted the assistance of federal partners, but were unable to locate Marshall,” police said in a press release.
