Man dies after electrocution in Detroit, Trump visits Michigan and other top stories

(CBS-DETROIT) – A Detroit child was injured in a drive-by shooting early Thursday, police said.

The incident occurred around 1:35 a.m. in the 1000 block of Bassett St.

Officers went to the area after receiving a report of a drive-by shooting that did not result in a fatal shooting.

When they arrived, they learned that several shots had been fired at a house and one of them had hit a child.

The boy was taken to a local hospital where his condition is stable. Police expect him to make a full recovery.

According to police, the circumstances of the incident are unknown. Further details have not yet been released.
