Police in Lopburi province arrested a Contract killer who escaped a 33 years imprisonment after a failed assassination attempt Attempt at a hotel.

Police chief Supakorn Chantabut, together with his deputy Siwawong Damrongsatchasi and other officers, successfully arrested 56-year-old hitman Paisan yesterday, August 24. The arrest took place in Chaibadan district of Lopburi province.

The case dates back to November 20, 1989, when an assailant with a firearm shot Somjai, a hotel manager, and her brother-in-law Sawiang in a hotel in Trat province. Both victims sustained injuries, but the assailant managed to escape.

Initially, it was suspected that the attack was the result of a dispute over a land sale, so a hitman was hired to kill Somjai. However, the assassination attempt was unsuccessful, leading to his conviction.
