AMERSFOORT – Hydratec Industries' turnover in the first half of the year was EUR 137.5 million, 2.8% higher than in the first half of 2023. The margin also increased. Operating costs were lower, but excluding one-off costs, costs increased slightly. The higher turnover, which was unevenly distributed last year, means that the normalized operating result of EUR 13.6 million was EUR 2.8 million higher than in the same period last year. A normalized result of EUR 28.2 million was achieved for the full year 2023.
Bart Aangenendt, CEO of Hydratec Industries: “The margin was significantly increased, especially in Industrial Systems. Sales at Hightech Components fell significantly, partly due to the conscious decision to stop certain activities and partly due to the continued caution in the supply chain. At the same time, interest rates and geopolitical tensions have increased. This has led to increased uncertainty, which has had a dampening effect on order intake. Nevertheless, demand for food, health and mobility remains strong and we have a well-filled order book.”
