San Francisco Mayor London Breed confirmed on Platform X that Pearsall was shot during a robbery in Union Square. She added that San Francisco police were immediately on the scene and the suspect was arrested. According to a report by ABC 7 San Francisco Pearsall is in stable condition.

49ers receiver Deebo Samuel reassured fans with a post on X in which he wrote: “He's OK. Thank God!!!!” A team source confirmed to ESPNthat Pearsall is expected to make a full recovery.
The incident occurred at the corner of Geary and Grant Streets, just one block from Union Square. Police received a 911 call at 3:38 p.m. local time and were quickly on the scene. Pearsall had previously signed autographs at an event and was then on his way to Union Square, according to ABC7 reported.
Physical confrontation with suspect?
According to San Francisco police, a physical altercation occurred between Pearsall and the suspect during the robbery, resulting in injuries to both. Both were subsequently taken to San Francisco General Hospital.
The 49ers selected Pearsall with the 31st pick of the NFL Draft from the University of Florida in April. The talented receiver had raised high expectations and was expected to play an important role in the Niners' offense.
