The Government of Rajasthan under Chief Minister Ayushman Jeevan has introduced a new initiative called Raksha Yojana to address the critical issue of timely medical care to road accident victims.
People who take victims of road accidents to hospital in time will be given a reward of Rs 10,000 and a summons. The programme, funded by the Dedicated Road Safety Fund, aims to reduce the number of deaths by promoting prompt medical care.
To benefit from this program, the person must voluntarily provide their personal information and identification at the hospital. These are then documented by the accident doctor.
To use the program, the following information is required: name, age, gender, address, mobile phone number, identity card, bank account number, IFSC code and MLC number.
The person is allowed to leave the hospital immediately if he wishes. If the condition of the accident victim is serious, the reward and summons will be issued to the person who takes the victim to a public or private hospital.
If there are several people, the reward will be divided equally.
