As the United Arab Emirates continues to be the leading destination for U.S. direct investment in the Middle East, DMCC presented American business leaders with insights into Dubai's business-friendly environment, world-class infrastructure and the tremendous opportunities available for American companies in Dubai.
There are currently nearly 700 U.S. companies operating in DMCC, meaning the district is home to over 45% of the estimated 1,500 American companies in the UAE. With bilateral non-oil trade between the UAE and the U.S. reaching a record $31.4 billion in 2023, DMCC sees significant potential for American companies looking to establish or expand their regional presence from Dubai.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of DMCC, noted: “Dubai has long been the preferred regional hub for American companies. Last year’s record levels of trade and investment underscore Dubai’s continued attractiveness to U.S. companies, thanks to our market size, infrastructure, trade connectivity and ease of doing business. With nearly 700 U.S. companies in our district, we represent nearly half of the American business presence in the UAE. Looking ahead, we aim to cement this position by expanding our business ecosystems and exploring the immense potential of sectors such as technology, AI, energy and more.”
The roadshow events were organized in collaboration with Airtifae, San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, Bay Area Council, Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade, World Trade Center Denver and Denver Mile High City.
DMCC's Made for Trade Live roadshows play a critical role in promoting Dubai as a leading business hub. DMCC currently contributes 15% of Dubai's annual FDI inflows and is home to over 24,000 companies from around the world.
