The UP T20 League returns for its second edition after a thrilling inaugural season. The tournament began on August 25 with the first match between last year's finalists Kashi Rudras and Meerut Mavericks. In the previous season, Kashi Rudras defeated Meerut Mavericks by seven wickets and chased a target of 147 in the final.
This year, six teams are taking part in the tournament. Each team will play against the other five teams twice in the round robin.

After the league phase, the top teams will advance to the playoffs which will include Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2 and the final. A total of 34 matches will be played in the tournament, all matches will be played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. The final will be held on September 14.
