DWD warns of heat in Hesse for Thursday

Nevertheless, people in Kassel should avoid the blazing sun between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. For everyone else, it is best to prepare well for the extraordinary strain. This is of course particularly difficult for professions that work outside. “Anyone who is sitting in the office and gasping for air should definitely think of the guys here,” Kassel road construction manager Alexander Heinz recently told our editorial team. To protect yourself against the heat, there is plenty of drinking water and sunscreen available everywhere. To maintain the body's water balance during this type of work, you actually need to drink four to five liters. “You can hardly keep up,” said Heinz. And after work, the only thing the worker can do is rest.

At least: Things are expected to cool down over the course of Thursday. According to the DWD, there may be isolated showers or heavy thunderstorms from the afternoon onwards. According to the DWD, Friday will also bring some rain and a slight risk of thunderstorms. Temperatures are expected to remain summery, at 25 to 30 degrees. Meteorologists are not ruling out isolated showers and thunderstorms on Saturday. Otherwise, it is expected to remain sunny, with highs of 26 to 31 degrees.
