Search continues for killer who attacked 18-year-old man in Broward driveway

OAKLAND PARK, Florida. – The search for a killer continued Sunday, hours after the slaying of an 18-year-old man in Broward County.

The gunman attacked Ammon Watson, the father of a six-month-old boy, outside a home in Oakland Park shortly before 11:55 a.m. Saturday.

Watson was returning home from shopping with his grandmother. She went inside. He was shot.

The Broward Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit investigated his murder after Oakland Park Fire Department personnel pronounced him dead in a driveway near Northwest 28 Street and 22 Terrace.

Officials set up a restricted area and a helicopter was involved in the search on Saturday.

Investigators searching for the killer asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 to remain anonymous.
